CPNE announces formation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa committee
Karachi (PR) The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) has announced the formation of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Committee for the year 2025-26. Tahir Farooq has been appointed as its Chairman and Masood Khan as its Deputy Chairman, while other members include Adnan Zafar, Rahatullah Khan, Aitzaz Hussain Shah, Yahya Khan Saduzai, Mumtaz Ahmed Sadiq, Abid Hameed, Shahid Hameed, Mumtaz Bangash, Fazal Haq, Salman Khan, Syed Qaiser Rizvi, Wazirzada, Liaquat Ali Yousafzai, Sardar Naeem, Ashraf Dar, Javed Khan Afridi, Kifayatullah, Najibullah Naveen, Arshad Khan, Aamir Shahzad Jadoon, Amjad Aziz Malik, Zahir Shah Shirazi, Khadim Ali Khan and Syed Ali Nawaz Gilani. The objective of this committee is to protect the interests of CPNE member newspapers and magazines working in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, organize print media activities such as functions, workshops and seminars, etc., so as to promote the standards of print media. The work of this committee will be to assist the Standing Committee in organizing CPNE meetings and functions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ensure the execution of other matters assigned by the Secretary General/Standing Committee, consider press-related matters and present them to the Standing Committee, and organize various programs to highlight the role and importance of the press.
